Conceived as a haven of comfort and well-being, our space has been meticulously crafted by the talented team at Annterior Studio, led by designers Anna Chițan and Maria Farcaș. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, our retreat celebrates authenticity and the beauty of simplicity, reinterpreted through a contemporary and local lens.
A Warm Minimalism
Our design concept revolves around natural elements, whose graceful aging enhances their aesthetic value, embodying the philosophy that beauty lies in imperfection. Organic shapes in monochrome hues reminiscent of sand, vintage objects, and natural materials present both in furniture and accessories, blend harmoniously and create a visual experience that soothes the senses and invites contemplation.
The Symbol of Spirituality
The circle motif greets guests from the entrance and accompanies them throughout their journey. This symbol, found in furniture pieces, interior windows, and accessories, serves as a subtle reminder of the harmony, warmth, and kindness that define Euforia.
Art as an Invitation to Contemplation
Our rooms are adorned with locally inspired marine artworks, vintage photographs from the era when the country’s elite summered in Eforie, and Techirghiol stone sculptures by local artist George Culea. Amidst this genuine collection, the sea takes center stage: expansive windows are designed to showcase its splendor, inviting guests to admire its timeless beauty.
Origins
Euforia Retreat & Spa traces its roots to Vila Plaja, once the cherished vacation home of esteemed doctor Cecil Poppa. Originally built in the 1930s, and subsequently modified in 1990, this Neo-Romanian villa has retained its authenticity and charm through the meticulous renovations it underwent in 2022. Several features of the original villa have been seamlessly integrated into The Villa: the staircase leading from the living room, the alcoves framing views of the sea, and an original Techirghiol stone wall, guiding guests to the jacuzzi.
Events
We take immense pleasure in our role as hosts, whether for intimate gatherings or grand celebrations. With the capacity to accommodate up to 120 guests, our restaurant offers various arrangements spanning the indoor space, covered terrace, and courtyard.
